LESSON 1 : LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATION

Production Planning (PP) module covers the planning and controlling of manufacturing activities of a company. This module covers bills of material, routings, work centers, sales and operations planning, master production scheduling, material requirements planning, shop floor control, production orders, product costing, discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, and repetitive manufacturing.

LESSON 2 : ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT & PRINTER ADMINISTRATION

Materials Management (MM) module supports the procurement and inventory functions occurring in day-to-day business operations such as purchasing, inventory management, reorder point processing, and invoice verification.

LESSON 3 : FILE SYSTEM MAINTENANCE & COMMANDS

Sales and Distribution (SD) module helps optimize all the tasks and activities carried out in sales, delivery and billing. SD covers pre-sales support, inquiry processing, quotation processing, sales order processing, delivery processing, billing, and sales information system.

LESSON 4 : FILE MAINTENANCE & ADMINISTRATION

Human Resource (HR) module is the complete integrated system for supporting the planning and control of personnel activities. It covers organizational management, personnel administration, recruitment, personnel development, time management, payroll management, and training and event management.

LESSON 5 : KERNAL AND HARDWARE MANAGEMENT

Financial module automated management and external reporting of general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank accounting, asset accounting, special purpose ledger, funds management, contract accounting. Controlling represents the company’s flow of cost and revenue. It is a management instrument for organizational decisions which covers overhead costing, profitability analysis, and product cost controlling.

LESSON 6 : SECURITY, SUPPORT, AND RECOVERY

Strategic Enterprise Management (SEM) solution of SAP delivers end-to-end capabilities to support financial consolidation, strategy management and performance management life cycle, including

  • Consolidated financial reporting
  • Planning budgeting and forecasting
  • Corporate performance management and scorecards
  • Risk management

This course will act as the comprehensive overview of the various functions and roles of the Unix operating system. While it will be beneficial if the student is familiar with any of the UNIX environments commonly used in the IT industry, not an expert level knowledge is desired to excel in this course. Owing to the widespread use of Sun Microsystems Solaris Operating environment the material will be inclined towards it. Following topics will be covered

MANAGING FILE SYSTEMS :

Knowing the purpose and contents of the major sub directories under root filesystem, how to move around the fileystem performing essential tasks as creating new filesystems, hard linking and soft linking of directories, filesystem listings, basic disk architecture. This will also include learning how to use commands like newfs, fsck and vfstab.

DEPLOYMENT, INSTALLATION, AND STARTUPS :

This will cover the various aspects of different techniques to install Solaris from media or over the network. Students will learn how to install additional software using pkgadd, install patches and manage patch clusters using Command Line Interface (CLI) and using GUI. The course will give a detailed overview of the parameters of Boot PROM.

USER ADMINISTRATION SECURITY AND NETWORK ADMINISTRATION :

Creating new users accounts, managing their profiles, groups and implementing security by groups and permissions on files.

MANAGING PERIPHERAL PRINTING DEVICES :

Explain how to configure printer classes, set the default printer, change the default printer class, remove a printer’s configuration, start the LP print service, and stop the LP print service using the appropriate commands.

MANAGING DATA BACKUPS AND RESTORE :

How to plan on taking backups of file sytems, using ufsdump efficiently, managing tape drives. Also will be explained how to perform incremental, full, and remote backups to tape for an un-mounted file system.
