EATON Powering & Connecting IT Environments
Eaton provides industry-leading solutions that are designed to help bolster uptime, reliability, efficiency, and productivity.

UPS
A UPS protects IT equipment and electrical loads from surges and spikes, preventing hardware damage and data loss/corruption, while many models continually condition incoming power as well. It can facilitate a graceful system shutdown and provide availability for networks and other applications to prevent downtime. Some UPSs have enough battery runtime to ride through power outages, and others can be paired with generators.

Racks PDU
Eaton's selection of rackmount power distribution units (PDUs) offers the power and scalability needed for server racks or other switching environments. Eaton's ePDU G3 technology, featured in all units, provides best-in-class power distribution with a full line of High Density (HD) Managed and Metered Outlet PDUs, and standard platform PDUs. From basic to advanced models, Eaton has the ideal PDU for any space, from a tiny network closet to the most sophisticated data centers around the world.

Rack Enclosures
Server racks, the IT equipment's "home," are open frames or cabinets designed for mounting, organizing and securing rack-mount devices such as servers, routers, hubs, and switches, as well as audio/video components. As a general rule, IT equipment will fit inside an Eaton rack, regardless of manufacturer. The racks provide cable management and enable optimized airflow for increased operational efficiency and prolonged equipment life.

Get StartedEaton 5P UPS
The Eaton 5P UPS is an enterprise-class backup power solution available as a tower UPS, wall mount UPS, and rackmount UPS. Several models are available as a compact UPS–which are 2U in height with shorter depths than a traditional UPS–making them perfect for 4-post or 2-post rail and wall mounting. The 5P UPS even offers flexibility in battery types with two models offering lithium-ion batteries.

The Eaton 5PX G2 is the latest addition to Eaton's 5 series UPS line, available as a rackmount or tower UPS with power ratings from 1 to 3 kVA. It supports up to four optional external battery modules for maximum runtime and delivers 11% more power to connected equipment thanks to its unity power factor. Select 2 and 3 kVA models offer a reduced depth for high density wall mount rack installations. The 5PX G2 features hot-swappable batteries, mass firmware upgrades without dropping the load, and an optional Gigabit Network Card (NETWORK-M3) — the first UPS connectivity device to meet both UL and IEC cybersecurity standards. The warranty covers both the UPS and batteries for three years.

The Eaton 9PX is a proven, best-in-class online UPS featuring ABM technology, which extends battery service life up to 50 percent. With double-conversion topology for constant power conditioning and battery packs for extended runtime, the 9PX tower/rackmount UPS is built for scalable deployment and features a graphical LCD interface. Select 9PX UPS models are bundled with the Eaton Gigabit Network card, the first in the industry to comply with both UL and IEC cybersecurity standards.

Eaton Is Powering the AI Data Center
AI workloads are putting pressure on power infrastructure that most facilities weren't designed to handle. GPU servers generate unforeseen energy spikes — Eaton calls it "power bursting" — and managing that without the right equipment causes downtime, hardware damage, and cascading failures.
In March 2026 at NVIDIA GTC in San Jose, Eaton unveiled the Beam Rubin DSX platform — a pre-engineered AI data center power ecosystem developed in collaboration with NVIDIA, scaling from megawatts to hundreds of megawatts from grid to chip. Questivity can help Bay Area organizations evaluate and spec the right Eaton solution for high-density GPU environments.
